On Sun­day, Decem­ber 11, we said farewell to Christo­pher Jack­son after 24 years of ser­vice. An Open House in his honor was held in the par­son­age that morning.

My final ser­mon as one of your staff mem­bers raises so many emo­tions and mem­o­ries from these past 24 years. I recall the years serv­ing in children’s and adult edu­ca­tion, with new mem­bers, out­reach, pas­toral care, and church admin­is­tra­tion.  I could focus on the past, but this sea­son of the year and the day’s assigned scrip­ture call us to look for­ward: “we are those who dream…” and “we are those who give thanks in all cir­cum­stances.” Thank you for these years in which we have shared in ministry.
