Eat a great meal in fellowship. Come to this annual spring event at Koinonia Retreat Center sponsored by the Senior Council, United Methodist Women and the Ecology Group. During at two-hour bus tour on Saturday, April 21, see some of the key locations in St. Paul’s notorious mobster past, where police agreed not to bother out-of-town mobsters living there as long as they didn’t commit crimes in St. Paul. Van service to and from the tour origin point. No Lunch. $22 tour fee due with registration by April 15.

New Life Adventures presents Hope in Action on March 30. Clint Hewitt, Hennepin member, will tell how Hope Community, Inc. is transforming a troubled inner-city intersection with an integrated program of housing, day care, counseling and other practical aids. Visit a Mosque with Life Adventures

On March 16, take part in a noon briefing on Friday Prayers, then witness the prayer service that follows at 1:00 PM at Masjid-al-Iman in NE Minneapolis. There is no fee because lunch is not included. There will be van transportation from the church parking lot, leaving at 11:30.

Life Adventures welcomes Cynthia Ashley, our Parish Nurse, and Jack Fistler, Director of Legacy Giving on Friday, February 24. Jack and Cynthia will present “Senior Health” focusing on both physical and fiscal health. Sign up by Feb. 22 at the Reception Desk (612) 871-5303. Cost for lunch is $8.

Life Adventures Service Project

After a light lunch on Friday, February 17, we will take an hour to help with a project for Hennepin’s Dignity Center. No fancy skills required, just a willingness to use your helping hands. Sign up by Feb. 15 at the Reception Desk (612-871-5303). Cost for the box lunch is $6.

On Friday, February 10, New Life Adventures welcomes the Jumpin’ Jehosafats Dixieland jazz combo. This group includes several United Methodist ministers and will provide sweet melodies and toe-tapping good times at our annual Valentine Luncheon. Reservations are due by February 5.
