Come enjoy some break­fast from 10:45–11:15am in the Social Hall/Dorcas Alcove as we eat together. (Cost $5/person; $12/family)
At 11:15am grownups will head over to the par­son­age for some yummy treats and kids will make their own sweet things with Ash­ley and Adri­enne. All will come back together by 12:30pm.

Young Adult Din­ner Groups are meet­ing on a monthly basis. Every four months or so we all get together to get to know other peo­ple, cre­ate new groups, and give peo­ple a chance to swap groups depend­ing on sched­ules, friends, etc. The Din­ner Party is on Tues, Jan. 31st, from 6:30–8:30pm. There you can come meet the hosts of the groups, get to know other peo­ple, and then decide if you want to be in a din­ner group.

Lit­tle Kids, BIG Fun is proud to wel­come Katja Row­ell, MD, from Fam­ily Feed­ing Dynam­ics on Sun­day, Jan­u­ary 15th. Fam­i­lies eat together from 10:45–11:15am, then kids will join Kaye from Blooma for Kids Yoga and Grownups will be invited to have a con­ver­sa­tion with Katja in room 205. Break­fast is $5/person or $12/family. All are wel­come! Invite your friends and neigh­bors – it’ll be a great time!

A 3-Week Advent Bible study will be offered to read and dis­cuss the Scrip­tures that will be in wor­ship the fol­low­ing Sun­day (no mat­ter what ser­vice you go to!) No prepa­ra­tion is needed. We will meet in the par­son­age (right next door to the church at 425 Grov­e­land Ave. Come to any door.)
All are always welcome!

Come meet at the church to work on a Habi­tat Site! Lunch is pro­vided. It’ll wrap up around 4pm.

Spe­cial Invi­ta­tion to Young Adults
5:30 PM, Thurs­day, Novem­ber 10

On Nov. 10, young adults are invited to the Hen­nepin Church Par­son­age (425 Grov­e­land) for a recep­tion with that evening’s Inter­faith Forum speak­ers: Fr. John Bauer (Basil­ica), Imam Makram El-Amim (Masjid Anur), Bruce Rob­bins (Hen­nepin Church) and Rabbi Mar­cia Zim­mer­man (Tem­ple Israel). Join them in dis­cussing reli­gious per­spec­tives on civic dia­logue. Light food and drink pro­vided. The time­frame is short (5:30–6:30)!

Did you know LKBF has moved to Sun­day morn­ings?!? Now every­one can join in the fun!
We’ll meet in the Dos­sal Alcove of the Social Hall to eat together at 11am ($5/person or $12/family).
Don’t want to eat? Just come social­ize! You’re wel­come to just come drink cof­fee if you like.
Then at 11:20am, kids will go with Ash­ley Sel­ger and friends for some great activ­i­ties, and par­ents will stay in the Social Hall for some grownup conversation.

Lit­tle Kids, BIG Fun is mov­ing to Sun­days! Too busy to come dur­ing the week? Now you won’t miss out on see­ing church friends because of the traf­fic. We will reserve an alcove to the Social Hall each 2nd Sun­day so that fam­i­lies can eat together, and then from 11am-Noon we’ll have some sep­a­rate grown up and kid activ­i­ties. (This also gives you the option of eat­ing at noon instead or just com­ing down for a cup of cof­fee to meet other fam­i­lies.) Cost of brunch is $5 per per­son or $12 per family/household. First Sun­day is Octo­ber 9th: Par­ents can stay and chat at brunch or go upstairs to hear Doug Wood, the author of Old Tur­tle, speak in the Art Gallery. Kids will either have out­door fun time on the play­ground or games inside, depend­ing on the weather.

Come enjoy an out­door BBQ with other peo­ple in their 20’s and 30’s. We will gather in the back­yard of the par­son­age, eat great food, get to know one another, and then you’ll hear about the var­i­ous din­ner groups that will be held monthly through­out the year. All are wel­come, even if you’re not sure you want to be in a din­ner group.

Don’t know much about the Bible? Wish you did? Start­ing on Sep­tem­ber 14th, a Bible study on 1Corinthians will be offered every Wednes­day night for 8 weeks. We’ll gather in the par­son­age around the din­ing room table and learn about com­mu­nity through this great let­ter of Paul. No prepa­ra­tion is nec­es­sary. Just come as you are, bring a Bible if you have one, and we’ll have a great time together.
