Children and youth are a valued and vital part of our faith community at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. Children can begin their faith journey in our nursery and progress through preschool programs, elementary, middle school and finally high school ministry programs. Each part of the journey is uniquely tailored to the needs of the age group. Children and youth ministries work closely together so our goal of building life changing friendships with Christ and others is always our top priority. Our staff and volunteers care deeply about the lives of each student and enjoy watching them grow up in faith.

God’s Children Sing is a music and movement class for children in preschool (age 3) – kindergarten. It is a worshipful alternative for active younger children who may not be ready for the Sanctuary service in its entirety. It meets on the first Sunday of the month in lieu of Sunday school.
Enjoy ‘A Little Christmas Carol’ presented by the Hennepin Youth. Bring friends and family of all ages and get into the Christmas spirit with refreshments and the energy of middle and senior high schoolers. Saturday, Dec. 14th at 6 p,m. and Sunday, Dec. 15th at 11 a.m.
