Children and youth are a valued and vital part of our faith community at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. Children can begin their faith journey in our nursery and progress through preschool programs, elementary, middle school and finally high school ministry programs. Each part of the journey is uniquely tailored to the needs of the age group. Children and youth ministries work closely together so our goal of building life changing friendships with Christ and others is always our top priority. Our staff and volunteers care deeply about the lives of each student and enjoy watching them grow up in faith.

Hennepin Church Boys Basketball Team 3–0
The Dunkin’ Shepherds are off to an excellent start in their second year of regular season league basketball. 3–0 in their first two weeks of play gives these young men a reason to be proud. But beyond the game, this basketball league offers something deeper. These young men are practicing beloved community.

The Journey Continues
A few weeks ago, 15 students embraced their baptism and confirmed their faith through the worship ritual of Confirmation. These students continue on a journey that the faith community of Hennepin Church should continue to support.
Adults needed as Youth Fellowship Volunteers
Youth Fellowship Volunteers are needed for Sunday evening youth ministry at Hennepin Church. These volunteers learn the names of students, greet them and participate in their activities. Nothing to lead or teach…just be a positive role model to students.
Christmas is Coming
All children ages 3 and up are invited to enter into the story of the birth of Jesus by participating in the annual Christmas Eve program.
