Confirmation

Con­fir­ma­tion is a 13 month pro­gram at Hen­nepin Church. Stu­dents enter as 7th graders and will be con­firmed in the fall of their 8th grade year.

Our goal is that stu­dents can express their faith in words and actions. We take the bible sto­ries and life expe­ri­ences they have had to this point and build on them. Help­ing them to think crit­i­cally about God and the Church. Engag­ing them in social jus­tice min­istries and giv­ing them tools that will be use­ful in their faith future.

A few weeks ago, 15 stu­dents embraced their bap­tism and con­firmed their faith through the wor­ship rit­ual of Con­fir­ma­tion. These stu­dents con­tinue on a jour­ney that the faith com­mu­nity of Hen­nepin Church should con­tinue to support.

Con­fir­ma­tion gives 7th grade stu­dents an oppor­tu­nity to express their faith in their own words. They get to share what they think and how they feel about their faith. Join in their jour­ney as they cel­e­bra­tion Con­fir­ma­tion Sun­day in the Sanc­tu­ary Wor­ship Service.
