Ever want to find out what happens to all those hundreds of school bags that Hennepin packs for disaster relief each January? HAUMC is offering you two opportunities in 2015 to join other Hennepin people and their friends to continue in hands on mission by following those bags to Baldwin, Louisiana and helping to process these and thousands of other disaster relief kits arriving at the UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Depot.
Or, should you prefer, you can participate in a variety of other hands on projects in the local community. Teams members of all ages, abilities and activity levels are welcome at Sager Brown and there is something for everyone to do.
The first trip option is for January 11 to 23 for either one week or two. The roster for that trip is now open and forms and initial fees for that are due by Oct. 4. January doesn’t fit your work or school schedule? Then you might consider the June 21 – 26 intergenerational option.
