A donation of land in 1961 and 50 years of loving care have produced “Koinonia” for thousands people from Hennepin and the greater community. Nestled in 100 acres of property on Lake Sylvia, about 90 minutes west of the Church, our retreat center offers a relevant, inclusive and beautiful setting for worship, small group development, study and service.
Koinonia’s name comes from the Greek New Testament and means, “fellowship in Christ.” In addition to its role as a retreat, conference and reunion venue, Koinonia is home to the Big Woods Heritage Forest, birds, wild flowers and other natural resources. This is how Koinonia fulfills its hospitality mission today. For more information call 888-801-7746 or go to the Koinonia website.
