Delivering Meals on Wheels is a tradition at Hennepin Church. More than thirty years ago Hennepin joined other downtown churches in forming the Loring-Nicollet Meals on Wheels. We deliver a hot noon meal to elderly or handicapped people five days a week. Our territory is downtown Minneapolis. Hennepin’s day is Friday, and we need five drivers every week. It is gratifying to receive smiles and thank your from people who really need this meal. An hour of your time brings you the gratitude of 8-10 people. One driver said “This is the most fun you can have on a Friday morning!” You are invited to join us. Ride along with an experienced driver and check us out.
