Mendelssohn's Elijah
As part of the worldwide celebration of Mendelssohn's 200th birthday, the Music at Hennepin Series is presenting his most famous choral work. Based on the compositions of his hero, J.S. Bach, this Old Testament story is brought to dramatic light in a powerful and timeless way. Featured are the Hennepin Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, Michael Schmidt, baritone soloist, and William Mathis, conductor.
