Our Artists in Res­i­dence, the Cop­per Street Brass Quin­tet have been with us since the fall of 2008.  “In res­i­dence” means that Hen­nepin Church is their home base phys­i­cally (rehearsal and desk space) and musi­cally (wor­ship and con­certs).  They play in schools, churches, and con­cert halls both in the Twin Cities and far beyond, but we are proud to have our close rela­tion­ship with them.  They play in wor­ship ser­vices about once a month, giv­ing us pre­ludes and postludes, lead­ing hymns, and accom­pa­ny­ing anthems; they are gen­er­ally with us for fes­ti­val days like Easter.  Addi­tion­ally, they play at least one con­cert a year on the Music at Hen­nepin Series.
