Labyrinth

Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way lies; and walk
in it, and find rest for your souls.”
~Jeremiah 6:16

Hennepin Church was the first congregation in the Twin Cities to begin a prayer ministry using the labyrinth. Since 1995, Hennepin has opened its doors at least once a week to those who wish to walk and pray on this ancient path. Every Thursday from 3–9 pm, people are invited to walk in this contemplative way alone or with a group.

Hennepin’s canvas indoor labyrinth is the pattern used in Chartres Cathedral. There is also an outdoor grass and stone labyrinth outside our East Entrance which is open at all times for prayer. At Koinonia Retreat Center, we welcome people to pray among the outdoor prairie grasses. We also have a canvas labyrinth that is available for rental. Please contact Connie@haumc.org for more information.

Throughout the year, special services of music and prayer are held on the labyrinth. Please check our website for dates and times.
